The traction control feature on the Toyota 4Runner helps stabilize your vehicle when driving on slippery roads. 2002 – 2023 Models
- Turn the engine to the “On” position.
- Locate the traction control button labeled “TRAC” or “Traction Control” on the center console or the dashboard near the driver’s side.

- Press the traction control button again to turn the system on. The light or indicator should turn off, indicating that the traction control system is enabled.
1995 – 2001 Models
The Toyota 4Runner models from 1995 to 2001 do not have a standard traction control system.
