Honda Pilot: How To Set The Clock

Setting the clock in your Honda Pilot is required after every battery change, and for some models, if you travel to a different time zone. Following the instructions for the YEAR which suits your vehicle below, here are the uncomplicated steps to set the time on the clock.

**NOTE: If you are unable to set the Time on the first try, REPEAT the steps. If you are still unsuccessful, contact the dealership for assistance or consult your vehicle user’s manual.

2005- 2008

 

  1. With your vehicle in the ON position without starting the engine. 
  2. Press and HOLD the TUNE knob until it BEEPS.
  3. Press the + side to enter the MINUTES.
  4. Press the  –  side to enter the HOURS.
  5. Then press the TUNE button to finalize the time.

And you are DONE!


2009- 2015

 

  1. With your vehicle in the ON position without starting the engine. 
  2. Press and HOLD the CLOCK button until the time starts flashing on the screen.
  3. Press the number FOUR button to enter the HOUR.
  4. Press the number FIVE button to enter the MINUTES.
  5. Press the CLOCK button again to finalize the time.

You are good to GO


2016-2019: For Models With A Navigation Screen

 

FUN Fact! Some models with Navigation Screens set the clock automatically. How Awesome for YOU!

  1. With your vehicle in the ON position without starting the engine. 
  2. Touch HOME.
  3. Touch SETTINGS.
  4. Touch CLOCK.
  5. Touch CLOCK ADJUSTMENT.
  6. Touch the appropriate area to set the HOUR, then set the MINUTES.
  7. Touch either the AM or PM icon to set day or night. 
  8. Touch to choose either 12h format or for military time 24h format. 
  9. Touch OK.

**The correct time should now appear on your Home Screen. If so, you are all SET!

TIP: For vehicles with digital navigation screens: Turning on the GPS TIME will allow the system to automatically adjust your time dependent on your present location. This feature will change your clock when you cross into a different time zone.

  1. My 2011 pilot w nav w/o ent syst, has no ‘clock’ button. I also tried 2012 instruction using mileage reset button and it only erased my trip miles. Help
