Range Rover: Reset the Tire Pressure Warning Light

Is the tire pressure warning light on in your Range Rover? Then read on for instructions on resetting it.

The light indicator is a notification to warn you of significantly low air pressure or high-pressure loss in your tires and is not to be ignored, as low pressure affects the vehicle’s overall performance, such as:

  • Affects the vehicle drives.
  • Increases the need for fuel.
  • Causes tire failure.

Note: Ensure all tires are properly inflated to the recommended pressure.

2012 – 2023 Models

  1. Turn on the ignition without starting the engine.
  2. Hold the “Reset” button on the dashboard or instrument cluster until the TPMS light flashes 3x.
  3. Release the “Reset” switch.
  4. Wait for several minutes for the TPMS to complete its reset.
  5. Start the engine and check the TPMS light to ensure it has been turned off.

2001 – 2011 Models

  1. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the “On” position without starting the engine.
  2. Hold the “Trip/Reset” button until the Tire Pressure Warning Light flashes 3x.
  3. Release the “Trip/Reset” button.
  4. Turn the key to the “Off” position.

1994 – 2000 Models

In Range Rover models manufactured between 1994 and 2000, the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) was not a standard feature. Therefore, there is no specific procedure to reset a tire pressure warning light.

However, after the tires are inflated, the outdoor temperature affects how fast the air in the tires will adjust. In addition, if the tire pressure warning light stays illuminated, you will need to have your vehicle serviced, as there could possibly be a sensor issue or a tire puncture.

If you are unable to reset the tire pressure light on the Range Rover on the first try, repeat the steps. If you are still unsuccessful, contact the dealership for assistance or consult your vehicle user’s manual.
