Ford Freestyle: Find Factory Keyless Entry Code

Whether you have forgotten the keyless remote entry code to the door of your Ford Freestar or need it because you purchased the vehicle without this knowledge, you can find the factory keyless entry code with these steps.

2005 – 2007 (Freestyle) & 2007 – 2009 (Taurus X) Models

You will find your remote keyless entry code on a card with your owner’s manual. If you bought a used Freestyle or cannot find the entry code, you can find it by:

1. Locate and open the Smart Junction Box; under the dash, on the driver’s side, and just above the brake pedal. (You may have to grab a flashlight and peel the trim back a bit to spot it.)
2. Find a sticker with a barcode on the SJB with a 5-digit number or a 5-digit number + letter. This is your keyless entry code.

Note: Ford produced the Freestyle from 2005-2007, then continued production of the same vehicle as the Taurus X until 2009.
